But what I would wear if I was…
[dropcap]There[/dropcap] are two things that I’ve been desperate to tick off my travel list – Ibiza (Kip is so fed up of me pestering him about it) and Coachella. Now you might think that the beach clubs of Dubai can fill my Ibiza hole, but from what I’ve heard it’s not the same. You might also think that the Dubai desert can somehow diminish my longing for dusty grounds of Indio, California but while fringe wearing beauties enjoy pleasant 30oC heat, in this sand pit it heat is a struggle. I’m a little surprised that there isn’t a similar festival here, but I guess the weather is too extreme, you wont reach the capacity required (concerts and gigs rarely sell out) and realistically speaking how can you recreate something as magical as Coachella?!
So while I enjoy the sunrays and the waters of the Persian Gulf all year round (don’t hate me) every April I’m glued to my phone watching my friends, fellow bloggers and celebs dance, sing and party. I’m not a big festival-goer (you’ll never catch me at Glasto) but I feel that this one was made for fashion and music-loving people, just spot all the models there! It’s definitely one of the coolest places to be and I’m going to try my very best to go next year! Have any of you guys ever been?
Until then, I thought to share an outfit inspiration for what I would wear to Coachella. It’s not midriff baring, bum out, low cut, sheer dresses over swimsuits kind of thing, but it’s a mix of print and go-to denim. My mum actually bought me this skirt and I love mix of colours and best way to style it is with a neutral top. The shrug-off shoulder jackets are having moment so do like Balenciaga and button up your denim jacket and scrunch it down over the the bare shoulder. Flats are a must at festivals, although if I were actually at Coachella I would swap these Fendi sandals for a pair of Chloe boots. Finally don’t forget your sunnies with a bright bag.
Happy Festival Season!
