You’re my moon and stars…
[dropcap]You[/dropcap] have no idea how much I love a wedding! Kip and I got married when we were both in our early 20s so it has taken a while for our friends to finally throw a party of their own and I couldn’t be happier for them.
We have both grown up and gone to school with the groom in the same town where he and his fiancée celebrated their nuptials. Despite the gloomy weather the day before, the sun came out over the church where they said their ‘I do’s’ and continued to shine during the reception that was held in one of the most stunning parts of Derbyshire countryside – Osmaston Park. The views over the green hills and lake are incomparable and let’s not forget the decorations, music and of course the gathering of all our oldest friends.
Surprisingly, I struggled to pick the right outfit. Despite the glorious sunshine it was still barely 18oC so I had to opt for something summery that can go with a little jacket. The two-piece trend has been on a roll this summer and I love this top and skirt combo from Revolve. The silky fabric flows beautifully, the wrap skirt is great as you can adjust the fit while the colour and subtle moon and stars print really stand out. I would’ve opted for higher heels but gravel paths and wanting to dance the night away called for a lower option. On the day I actually went with a different bag, but straw bags are having a moment and I’ve been liking the collection from Muun.
It was a wonderful day filled with love, laugher and too much wine and I wish them the very best!
