Celebrating 5 years of Topshop beauty…
Happy Friday my lovelies! This has been such a long week for me. The September issue of Harpers Bazaar UK has gone into print so it has been a mad rush to get everything finished, but I’m really enjoying it! Don’t know about you, but I find it motivating when you’re super busy and a little bit stressed. Maybe that comes from living in crazy London!
I’ve also being playing with my new Olympus OMD EM-10 which has been challenging especially with shooting these pretty beauty products. Practice makes perfect so hopefully one day the pics will come out a little bit nicer…
I never actually explored the Topshop makeup range as I tend to stick to my firm favourites like; Essie for nails, Chanel for lipstick, Bobbi Brown for blusher and gel eyeliner, Chantecaille for tinted mousturiser, Laura Mercier for bronzer and brushes and By Terry for mascara. But I’m always keen to discover new brands and have loved everything I tried for Prismologie and Perricone MD, so why not give my favourite high street outlet a go!
The nail colours are perfect for the summer (love this lilac shade) and there’s definitely a trend to inject more fun into your manicure be it with nail art or a bit of glitter (who doesn’t like something sprakly?!) And for a person like myself who is really clumsy with her nails, these polishes proved to be pretty sturdy.
Creamy products have a bonus of being easy to apply and the benefit of blending into your skin delivering a more natural complexion which you don’t always find with powder. The blusher has a very subtle rosy tone achieving that natural flushed finish while Glow is a great highlighting tool and has been one of their bestsellers.
Over last few years I have become obsessed with lipstick! I think it’s amazing how easily it can transform your whole look; a red can take you from day to night while a hint of deep berry carries that mood of sophistication. This anniversary range glides on smoothly giving your lips an even matte finish without drying them out, my top pick has to be Rio Rio.
I hope you all have a fab weekend and I’d love to hear about your favourite beauty ranges in the comment box below! x
