What better way to celebrate the hottest day of the year in the UK than with this summery Gucci look that we shot in Shoreditch?! What I always loved about the Brits, and now inherited after living there for 18 years, is the abundance of ways they can talk about the weather! I’m sure that over the next couple of days this heatwave is going to dominate the news but they best not complain too much as I now have to endure 50oC’s in Dubai.

It was pleasantly sunny for our shoot and we had fun posing in the less grungy area of East London. It goes without saying that this Gucci dress is beyond stunning! From the pretty print to the button down top that gives way to the pleated skirt. I also love the sequin dragonfly on the pocket and the white paneling on the pleats.

Next, the bag! I’ve been saving for a new arm candy for almost a year and really wanted to go for the popular Dionysus but when I saw the evil eye and pearls on this red Peony beauty I was sold. I carried on the pearl love with these sneakers, which I originally wanted with a pineapple, but the studs swayed my choice (see other ways to wear your kicks here). Finally, we have the round sunnies that I really didn’t take to at first as I believed that round shapes don’t work for round faces like mine, but thanks to their wider frame they’re actually very wearable.

What do you think? Always love reading your thoughts so please leave them in the comment box below!
