Staycation at the Four Seasons Resort Jumeirah

An escape in Dubai…

[dropcap]One[/dropcap] great thing about living in Dubai is that you can actually have an ‘escape’ staycation. Four Seasons Resort Jumeirah was our first stop before we flew off on our babymoon in the Seychelles and set the tone for the rest of the holiday. Although we spent only one night, we enjoyed as many facilities as we could and you can see more on my YouTube channel.

In short, it is one of the best hotels in Dubai with an impeccable service.. We were greeted with a smile and shown through the double doors and across the marble hallway to reception. After a speedy check in, we were lead to our room for the night that had an amazing sea view, huge living space with a king size bed as well as a walk in wardrobe and bathroom with separate shower and tub.

Without wasting time (though you can easily chill in the room) we headed down towards the Pearl Spa to escape the heat and enjoy some time in the indoor pool. I’ve been to the spa on a separate occasion and will be sharing my review soon, but it’s pure luxury and absolutely beautiful. The gym near the spa benefits from modern equipment as well as being spacious and clean (I did work out but enjoyed their strawberry granola bars). There are two further outdoor pools, one for kids and one for adults as well as the beach.

One thing I wasn’t keen on is the floating island in the sea a few metres away from the beach which had more sun beds and a plunge pool. The steps up to it are very slippery and need rubber cover while the plunge pool was into the sea, but because the water was stagnate it didn’t look appealing.

In the evening we decided to try seafood restaurant Seafu and there are further options at the hotel including the world famous Nusr-Et Steakhouse. The dishes were fresh and prepared quickly, though I didn’t find it overly exciting. The hotel’s lobby bar, Shai Salon, was great for after dinner drinks and I hear it also serves a fantastic afternoon tea which I’m keen to try some day.

Overall you cant fault the Four Seasons Resort Jumeirah for comfort, attentive service and beautiful surroundings. It was definitely a special start to kick off our special holiday.
