An Abu Dhabi must…
Happy Friday everyone and this weekend could not come sooner! The first week as a Picture Editor of Emirates Woman has been brilliant but crazy busy. We had a big 2-day shoot, we are on print next week and I’m going away on an exciting press trip which I’ll share with you on Monday.
One thing that you must have in Dubai is a car and while we are waiting to buy one we decided to hire one to drive over to Abu Dhabi for a bloggers luncheon and to also explore the city. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a place of beauty, standing impressively as you enter the city it does command a certain presence. After security at the entrance I had to go and collect an abaya before entering the sectioned off tourist area. We wondered round the marbled floors, through the columns and into the grand interior spaces with rooms of white marble painted with pastel flowers and housing some of the most impressive chandeliers that even the Russian Tsars would envy!
As we are approaching Ramadan, I have started to invest in more maxi dresses like this blue striped number from Maje. I’ve styled it with my go to block heel sandals and a roomy Chanel containing all the hot weather essentials.
