Roses are red, violets are blue, I love pink lipstick and so should you!
It’s been a little while since I’ve done a beauty post but I’ve been inspired by recent news that the pink shade of lipstick is the best selling colour AND I also thought it would be a great one ahead of Valentines Day. I always thought it was red reigning supreme on the makeup counters (or even nude tones), but it’s easy to see why pink is up there as it’s extremely versatile and great for matching your natural lip colour. With that in mind I decided to try out a few newbies:
CHANEL Le Rouge Crayon De Couleur in No3 Rose Clair – Perfect for on the go application and with it been soft pink, it’s easy to fix a smudge
CHANEL Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Seduisant 146 – I was’t too keen on the gloss-like texture but the long lasting matte finish was great. Plus I favour a coral pink tone.
Bobbi Brown Women’s Rich Lip Colour in Pink Guava 21 – This was the nicest to apply. The creamy texture doesn’t dry out the lips and the colour looked crisp all day.
Dior Rouge Gradient Lip Shadow Duo in Pink 575 – This is basically eyeshadow for the lips. I loved using it as it gives you a stain finish and the spongy applicator was something different.
Dolce & Gabbana lipstick in Cyclamen 528 – The colour is the darkest that I’ve tested, but it gave a smooth result and is great for an evening look.
Dior Addict Lip Glow in Pink 001 – A must for anyone low maintenance or living in a sunny climate. With SPF10 and moisturising ingredients, this balm enhances the natural colour and look of your lips and gives them an oomph. I’m in love!
