If there is something that the past years of fashion shows and trends have taught us is that sneakers are a formidable footwear choice.
These feet-friendly wonders have been styled with everything from ball gowns to tailoring and never fail to make into the runway of the top design houses. Why? Sneakers work as an antidote to a fussy outfit while equally providing an elevated edge to a dressed-down look.
Designer sneakers have been a hit with collectors and fashion connoisseurs and it’s great to see that many of the top brands offer a wide variety. I also find sneakers are a great introduction to a brand you might not be familiar with, or feel priced out of.
Dior has created a series of sellout styles and the latest addition to it’s sporty edit are the Dior-ID sneakers that come in a new two-tone colourway design. The leather stompers are decorated in rubber straps that come in a range of shades including navy, beige, green and red. The straps are embossed with gold lettering while the silhouette combines vintage inspiration and a bold modern edge.
Timeless as they are practical, the new Dior-ID sneakers can act as a partner to mini shorts and a T-shirt during the hotter months, or you can dress them up with a midi skirt and a belted blazer. Whichever you style them, make sure to add net socks as per Maria Grazi Chiur’s vision.
