Getting out of my makeup rut…
[dropcap]Welcome[/dropcap] back to the blog! It’s been a little while since I’ve done anything beauty related, but the new Charlotte Tilbury store in the Dubai Mall has inspired me.
Since having Lola, I’ve gotten a little bit lazy with my daily routine. Normally, I apply some CC cream from Erborian,YSL Touché Eclat under the eyes and some NARS concealer on blemishes. I define the eyebrows with a Dior Backstage pencil, add Dior liquid black eyeliner along the lash line and sweeps of Bobbi Brown mascara at the end.
Its the quickest routine I can master in the mornings before rushing to spend some time with Lola before work, but it’s boring! So, I headed to the Tilbury beauty bar and got a little makeover and learnt a few things along the way.
Apply concealer under the eye in a triangle as that how the light falls.
When applying a bronzer, start at the ear line and blend down.
Spend extra time filling and defining the eyebrows as they frame the face. When brushing, do slight upward strokes for illusion of volume.
Daytime smokey eye works better with brown and bronze tones. The darkest part should be along the lash line.
Tap a bit of the highlighter on the inner corner of the yes and underneath the brow line. It really makes the eyes pop!
I can see why the Audrey eyeliner and Pillow Talk Lip liner with a matching lipstick are so popular, the colours are extremely flattering.
If you need a quick makeup refresh before going out, start with the Magic Cream before the touch up. You will instantly look refreshed without having to start your makeup all over again.
