For a perfect transitional jacket, suede is this years fashion’s favourite…
The 70s suede is the fabric of the season and although I have been pretty much living in this suede skirt I have also been looking for a jacket which is close to this Valentino beauty. The burgundy shade is a great alternative to the usual brown colour so when I saw this wrap around number in H&M (sold out but check out Mango) I had to have it! The suede is really soft and I like how you can tie it around for a fitted look, but the downside is if you want to leave it open the belt hangs down to your feet awkwardly and it doesn’t have pockets which I think is essential for any jacket!
Despite that, its pretty easy to style be it with a nice boho dress or a pair of flared jeans, a loose blouse and a fedora. Here I opted for my mini button down skirt from Topshop (similar from River Island) with a stripe T-shirt, these incredible Louis Vuitton boots and (to add to the 70s theme) my beloved Chloe Drew bag.
What do you think? Would you wear a suede coat this season?
