It’s the most wonderful time of the year…
I love Christmas. Especially now that Lola has a good grasp of what it entails. Every day since the beginning of November we have been discussing what we want Santa to get us for Christmas. She would love a blue bicycle. Me? I’m still deciding.
Normally by this time of year, my wish list would be overflowing with ideas. I have had items waiting to be purchased for months, but I remain indecisive.
COVID-19 has significantly altered our “needs” and “wants”. Personally, I am more drawn to self-care items like luxury candles, fragrances, and essential oils.
I am also a shoeaholic and also have a soft spot for fabulous coats, but I’m now more interested in timeless silhouettes and subdued colours that won’t be touched by the everchanging tide of trends.
If you want something truly timeless then jewellery is a wise investment. Brands like Messika and JIAJIA do well at offering mid-range pieces that are stunning.
With extra time spent at home, I have become even more engaged with simple interior touches that can instantly transform a corner of a familiar room. Think minimalist vases or glass candle holders.
This year I feel it’s more about getting something that you can enjoy for longer so take a look at my wish list below to see if any gift ideas strike a chord with you.
