We are half way…
[dropcap]I’ve[/dropcap] hit week 20 and month 5 of my pregnancy and its so surreal to think that we are half way to the due date! On one hand it feels like I’ve been pregnant a long time but so little has changed in my body. I haven’t been sick, had weird cravings, put on that much weight and to be honest pregnancy has been good to me and rather enjoyable. I can appreciate the hardest part is yet to come as my belly suddenly balloons, gets heavier and everything else starts to feel harder up to the point where you can’t wait for the baby to finally arrive.
According to my pregnancy+ app the baby is about a size of mango (still loving the fruit comparison!) and developing regular sleep patterns, although I’m not sure what exactly that means. I should start to feel kicking soon and I’m pretty sure I sensed ‘fluttering’ although my lovely husband said its proably wind. I know, charmer. I’m still working out and eating healthy which is key to a pleasant pregnancy and if you’re looking for prenatal classes in Dubai, check out this post.
Next week we are going for our ultrasound where we take a closer look at the baby organs as well as get a confirmation of whether you’re having a boy or a girl. We’re not the ones for surprises so are very keen to know what it is, do you guys have any guesses? I’ll make an announcement on the blog next week! Until then we’ll be enjoying our babymoon in the Seychelles and I hope you’re following along on my Instagram to see all the beauty of this island. I’ll be sharing from our trip soon and if you have any recommendations of what to do while we’re here please let me know.
