Bells and stripes…
Sometimes the beauty is in the simple twist and if you’ve been following recent trends and as in love the The Row as much as me, then you’ll know that shirts are a major wardrobe essential this and next season. The update lies in the detail, form sheer panels to balloon shaped sleeves to the maxi bell cuffs that I’m trialing in this look.
Impractical? Yes – you should see how Kip gets annoyed at always having to lift my sleeve when I reach across a dinner table. Fun? Absolutely! My photographer Olga wasn’t a fan of these pleated, larger than necessary bell sleeves (and maybe it’s not an easy style to wear) but I love a bold statement. When you do go for an ‘out there’ piece, the key is to keep everything simple for example his shirt would look great with white denim, but here I wanted to add some colour with a red mini. This shirt gets bonus points as it also nails another hot trend – stripes.
I cant get enough of these white boots and they look great in the lower version. I felt a smaller bag looked better with this outfit so I added my mini Diorama to the mix as well as another pop of red with the new Dolce & Gabbana sunnies.
