Hey guys, hope you had a fun filled weekend! October has been such a gentle introduction into autumn with mild temperatures and sunshine lighting up the golden leaves all over London. I still feel I can get away light layers, bare legs and even bare shoulders! Which brings me nicely onto intoducing you to one of the new exciting brands hailing from Easter Europe, Anna October.
Feminine, whimsical and girly, Anna really knows how to bring an element of youthfulness and fun to elegant pieces and I have adored her voluminous off-the-shoulder dresses and tops ever since seeing the collection at Browns. The bold colours are great for all year round while the tailored shapes work with skinny jeans, straight leg trousers and midi tube skirts. I opted for this crayon green colour top and added some edge with distressed boyfriend jeans (similar from Banana Republic). From here you can choose sneakers, heeled courts or boots but while we had a surprising lack of rain I couldn’t help but wear my Prada AW15 satin pink shoes (found practically identical pair at ASOS).
It’s been so amazing to see so much incredible talent coming from Easter Europe and making their mark on the fashion world. The Buro 24/7 Fashion Forward Initiative during Paris Fashion Week was really exciting as it showcased young talents in design from Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan while brands like Vita Kin, Vika Gazinskaya, Anna K and Ruban are already strong fashion favourites. I think its important to support your home talent and I’m lucky to be able to appreciate two, Russia and the UK! Catch up on all the SS16 shows from London and Russia Fashion Weeks here and here.

That is such a fun and flirty top. I would be worried that such a voluminous piece would make one look big, but not at all, especially paired with skinnies. And those heels are so pretty!
