Ever since The Bottega Veneta BV Chelsea boots arrived on the scene I was obsessed.
For some reason I can’t resist an ugly shoe that makes my husband burst out with laughter. I borrowed a pair at the beginning of the year to attend my first Couture Fashion Week – back when the world seemed so normal – and managed to walk the entirety of central Paris in comfort, even though the samples were a couple of sizes too big.
Since then I’ve been on a hunt for my very own pair and after spending months contemplating my wish list, I settled on a cream pair of BV Tire ankle boots that have an additional clear platform. These bulky beauties are just as fabulous as I imagined, but boy are they heavy. I took them for a walk around London and after an hour my legs were aching. However, I’m not sure if that’s more down to my lack of fitness or the weight of the platform. Either way, it will take some time to get used to them but I do not doubt that I’ll wear them throughout winter as this neutral colour goes with everything while also adding a masculine edge to a feminine outfit.

Daniel Lee started a shoe, and a bag, revolution when he arrived at Bottega Veneta. Naturally, everyone wants a piece of his magic so the high street has been busy creating BV-inspired boots to suit all budgets. Below, I have picked out some of my favourites that rival the Tire ankle boots.
Let me know which ones are your favourites!
