First look from our Dubai adventures…
Hey everyone and I hope you’re all having a great start to the week. I’m writing from our overwater villa in Dubai’s Anantara Resort and I still can’t believe I’m here! It is such a beautiful place and I love the whole Thai theme as I’ve been desperate to go to Thailand and although this isn’t the real thing, it’s pretty good for relaxing and sunbathing. Plenty of restaurants and bars as well as great sandy beach and general pool area though I have to admit I kind of like having a bit of a more private pool where our villa is.
I wanted to shoot this jumpsuit since Tommy Hilfger gifted it to me this summer and it’s a perfect piece for Dubai. As you may know you can’t go walking around with very little on, it’s different in hotels and resorts but in general public areas there is an understanding of decency which I completely agree with as you should respect the culture of a place you’re visiting. So with this in mind I wanted to pack something that will work for Dubai but I won’t feel too hot in. A jumpsuit is a no brained; comfortable and the light fabric is perfect for the heat (similar from here and Whistles). I really love the soft blue shade and a botanical print as well as an overlap design of the top. Easily styled for day and night, I opted for sandals in order to be comfortable exploring the souks and added a denim jacket to cover the shoulders in public places. For evening just add block heel sandals like these from ASOS or Fendi and a white tuxedo jacket from DKNY.
I’m so happy we have a few more days of sunshine before heading back to freezing London, which I actually don’t mind as it’s almost Christmas! Do follow my Instagram and snapchat for all the latest in Dubai and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this look xxx
