Underwear still as outerwear?
[dropcap]Hey[/dropcap] guys and hope you’re all had a good start to the week! This usual Monday post has been moved to today as I still have family in town and we were celebrating Kips birthday yesterday. Dubai is one of the best places for a staycation so we enjoyed a pool day at the Burj Al Arab, followed by a delicious dinner at one of our favourite restaurants La Petite Maison. Celebrations continued today with out first ever scuba dive at the Atlantis aquarium. Guys, it was absolutely incredible! Kip took to it like a fish to water (pun intended) while I needed a little while to get comfortable with breathing underwater through a tube. I honestly appreciate breathing so much more after that! Despite the initial panic, there was a wonderful feeling of calm as there’s no noise under water apart from the bubbles and swish of a sharks tail (yep there are free roaming sharks!) Its definitely worth a try and Kip loved it so much that now we’re looking at getting Padi qualified. Have any of you guys done it?
Alright back to the actual purpose of this post! Underwear as outerwear is nothing new, and neither are cropped tops, but this season there’s been a lot of love for what the fashionistas are calling a bralette. Work over shirt, T-shirt, roll neck, this little layering piece is great for those who want to jazz up their wardrobe favourites and it looks even better when you add matching trousers/skirt.
I picked this Zara bralette in Milan and liked how it stepped away from the popular lace versions. The go-to white shirt got an update with a lace trim while mom jeans are adorned in faux pearls (love you Zara!) As with any layering outfits, I need a heel and these Prada shoes (also from Milano) add just enough height whilst remaining incredible comfortable for the whole day.
Are you into the bralette trend? Let me know in the comment box below x
