Hey everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! If you’ve been following my Snapchat and Instagram you may have noticed me madly posting everything from my holiday in Monte Carlo. I won’t go into it now but one word: AMAZING! I’m currently sitting on our balcony overlooking the sea which makes blogging that little bit more fun.

Now, if you haven’t heard of Self Portrait yet then you must’ve been hiding under a rock somewhere because this previously little known label has been causing a storm across the fashion world. Created by Han Chong, previously of Three Floor Fashion, the brand is all about high style that is easy on the wallet. I discovered it during a press day last autumn and couldn’t believe that these beautifully created lace dresses were from £150 to £250 with a long gown at the highest price point of £320. Made successful through social media and from top bloggers such as Kristina Bazan wearing his designs, it is now selling out in Selfridges, Matchesfashion.com and Net-A-Porter. He must be doing something right!

This Arabella midi dress is from the pre-fall collection and also comes in black. It fits perfectly, I adore the paneling and the lazer cut petals on the hem (although I also like the shape of Guipure). It is ideal for events such as weddings and was my top pick for my mums birthday celebrations in Monaco. With a dress likes this you don’t need much, simple accessories work best like my nude Jimmy Choo’s and Chloe Drew bag.

What do you think? Do you own anything from Self Portrait? x

  3. Hello! You look absolutely gorgeous, I agree. I am wondering the size of the dress. Did you pick your normal size or how does it fit? I am trying to order it via online to my country and I would like it to fit with the first order. 🙂 Thank you for your advice.
