I can’t actually believe that its the last week of August and the last week of summer! London has suffered some hideous weather and the next few days are looking really miserable apart from the weekend, which I hope will be bright and sunny as Im spending it on the coast in Devon. Never been before but it looks beautiful!

Now on to today’s look which we shot a few weeks ago on Soho…It’s fair to say that stripes have been done to death, I’ve even published a striped post previously, but it’s a classic and there are always new interpretations that make me love them all over again, hence my new dress from Whistles. It has sold out but there is a cute option with bold stripes from ASOS, but if I could I would totally get this stunning one from PreenTo me, stripes are on par with neutrals: they can be worn anytime of year, for any occassion and work great on their own as well as with other prints and styles. Plus you will always be on trend as one way or another, designers will be conjuring some fun new twists to make them a must have print for the season.

I really like the loose fit and the light fabric of this dress, while the grey stripes give it better wearability for everyday. The block heel sandals are my shoe of choice as they are super comfortable for running around while also giving my legs much needed length to pull off this midi style (great options at ASOS and Tabitha Simmons). The bag is probably not the best fit for this look as it’s a bit boho but a pair of large frame sunglasses do give this look a more 70’s vibe so think I get away with it! Plus who will say no to Chloe! The Drew’s are still as popular as ever and I really like the new colour combinations as well as mixing leather and suede, how fab is this one?

I hope you all have a great start to the week and I’d love to hear your thoughts on this look in the comment box below. Are you still loving stripes? x
