I love that whole coat/jacket thrown over the shoulders look, I think it gives an outfit instant cool factor and can act as a sun, air-con and cold wind protector. Functional and stylish.

This pastel jacket is actually my mums, what can I say she’s got great taste! I love the sparkly buttons and the light lace fabric which was ideal for warm but breezy evenings in Dubai during our holiday. While I’m very lucky to have access to my mums amazing wardrobe, unfortunately this jacket is not for keeps so I have been browsing online and saw some great ones at Coast and MSGM.

This soft blue colour can go with pretty much anything, be it a skirt or dress in the same shade, other pastel tones like lilac, pink and yellow or act as a gentle note to black leather trousers and T-shirt. I decided to style it as a casual-day-look and wore it with my trusty skinny jeans (also  loving these from Paige), a light blouse (nice alternatives at The Kooples and Malene Birger) and flat brogues from one of my favourite Chanel collections dubbed Back in Dallas (other options at J. Crew and Dune).

I was tempted to add a bright pair of sunglasses but with the Hermes bag and scarf adding pops of colour, I went for my light grey ones that I think you can still buy in store otherwise here are some alternatives from Ray-Ban and Linda Farrow.

Hope you like the look, let me know what you think!
