The fashion month is officially over and what a crazy, busy but exhilarating few weeks it has been! I don’t know how people manage to do all four cities but I feel really lucky to have covered both New York and London and today I’m sharing with you my standout trends from NYFW as well as a Q&A with one of the US based blogger.
The top shows that I got to attend were Tommy Hilfiger (definitely the best set of the season), Milly, Tory Burch, Jonathan Simkhai, Tome and Coach (eek spotted Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things!). So what to invest in next summer? We will be swapping our off-shoulder numbers for single shoulder styles or an open back tops. Seaside stripes are making a comeback thanks to Rosie Assouline and Altuzarra and there is plenty of sunshine yellow which I spotted at Coach as well as Kate Spade. Isn’t weird that we interact with each other on social media but might never meet? One of the bloggers who I’ve been following for a while is Pam from The Girl From Panama and it was such a pleasure to finally bump into her at the Tommy show. Her blog and Instagram feed are visually beautiful, her style style is efortless and I love her ability to make a simplest of pieces look chic (plus her personality is just as lovely as you’d expect!) Below she shares a little about her blog, style and Fashion Week. Enjoy!
10 QUESTIONS WITH PAM HETLINGER
1.Describer your style
My style is a combination of feminine, modern and a bit trendy.
2.Why did you start blogging?
I always wanted to work in fashion. At one point, I wanted to go to Paris to study fashion design. It didn’t end up happening, but fortunately I had the opportunity to work in London at a well-know clothing brand and in San Francisco for an established makeup brand. Those experiences gave me the knowledge and strength I need to pursue this career as a blogger. So, after a lot of hard work and positive reinforcement, The Girl From Panama was born.
3.What is your greatest achievement so far?
I think I still have a long way to go before my blog is where I want it to be, but the first moment of realization where I knew my blog could be something special or my greatest achievement so far was when CHANEL approached me to do a collaboration about a year and a half ago. CHANEL was a brand on my list of dream companies to work with from day one. The fact that I was able to partner with them this early on in my blogging career is something truly special for me, and I’ll never forget it.
