What an amazing few days…
This was my first time at Milan Fashion Week and it shot up to one of my all time faves (maybe even better than my first NYFW!) We had it in the diary since last summer as I decided to arrange this trip for my mum’s birthday and we both have been counting down the weeks ever since.
We decided to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel as we’ve been there before and it has an amazing spa, as well as being within walking distance of most show venues. Every morning we woke up early and headed down to the spa to enjoy sauna and steam and a swim in their heated pool. The breakfasts were delicious with wide selection of healthy and indulgent dishes and the restaurant looked over the inner courtyard which is perfect for enjoying a sunny day.
On the first day we headed to the Bulgari presentation with the new collection focusing on autumnal shade and 80s theme, and then Aigner show that evening which was beautiful! The following morning we had a number of presentations including Giuseppe Zanotti and that night mum got to experience to her first catwalk show which was the glamorous Elisabetta Franchi.
Sunday was the day I was looking forward to the most as it was finally time for the Dolce & Gabbana show! It is everything you’d hope for and more with the collection worn by models as well as Instagram stars like Aimee Song and TV personalities. It was a huge production with live music and at the end we were served Rose Champagne. That night we went to the D&G party held at the same place as the show where once again champagne was flowing and we danced the night away alongside Stefano and Domenico.
As MFW was coming to a close we had a few more presentations as well as resee of the D&G collection, but we mainly spent that time exploring Milan and indulging in some retail therapy (cant wait to show you what I bought!) One of our favourite lunch spots was Salumaio and we had a great dinner at Bice.
It was an amazing trip filled with laughter, old Russian movies and fashion! It was so good to be back in Europe after months in the desert and over the next couple of weeks I will be sharing the rest of the looks as well as a video diary. Stay tuned!
Have a great weekend everyone!
