My 3 tips to maternity party dressing…
[dropcap]Festive[/dropcap] season is in full swing and if like me you’re at the final stages of pregnancy you may feel a bit like a walking watermelon, but there are plenty of maternity party outfits that will make you comfortable and stylish.
Fitted, Not Loose
At the beginning I was all for wide silhouettes, but now hitting month 9 they just make me look twice as big so I suggest you go for something fitted that shows the belly in all it’s beautiful glory. I feel my best in something long sleeved, A-line cut balances out the curves while LBD’s are a classic fail-safe option.
A blazer is a great way to add shape and some sharp structure to a rounded body shape. Tuxedos are timeless and for something more opulent, choose a velvet finish. Dress with skinnies, either navy jeans or leather trousers.
Keep It Low
You have to admit defeat at some point and in my case it’s my stiletto heels. Instead I’m looking to kittens and block heels for stability that still add some height to my petite frame.
