New season and new home for LFW…
Hey everyone! How is your weekend going? Yesterday was a busy first day of London Fashion Week but an exciting one as it has officially relocated from its usual Somerset House venue into soho. Brewer Street car park is not the most visually appealing setting but the venue allows for a huge space to be used for designer showrooms, pop up Toni & Guy salon and Maybelline makeup station. It does create a nightmare for street style photographers as the road is narrow and still in use but with so many of the shows being all over the city its not too bad.
I managed to catch a few shows and presentations starting with JJ.S Lee who opted for fresh modern pieces with a stripe green dress being my favourite pick, and finishing the day with 1920’s art deco collection from DAKS. With temperamental weather of rain, sun then rain again, I chose comfy jeans and sweatshirt combination. I absolutely love Natasha Zinko‘s fun whimsical print and she presented her SS16 collection for the first time at LFW today which is much more edgy. The shoes are my first purchase of the season and they have been so comfortable to run in around in all day! Topshop do similar styles which look fab with jeans, tailored trousers and skirts.
