It’s the perfect time of year to celebrate the knit dress in all it’s glory

No-fuss cosiness

Since coming back to the UK, one of the staples I have been looking forward to wearing is a knit dress.

The simple wardrobe solution works well with flats and heeled boots, and you can instantly transform the look with a belt or jewellery.

We might be out of lockdown, but as most of us are still working from home, a jumper dress is an elegant alternative to loungewear. As much as I love a snuggly two-piece, putting on a dress makes you instantly feel feminine and put together with hardly any effort.

From high neck to off-the-shoulder silhouettes, it’s up to you how minimalist or elevated you want to feel. I love the knit dress I picked up at COS. The oversized fit, rigid fabric, cropped sleeve and a straight cut make it wearable and flattering. It also comes in black.

Elsewhere there are brands like Nanushka and LVIR that bring a touch of undone glamour to knit with either one-shoulder design or gathered sleeves.

I tend to stick to muted colours but I love the striking shade of red at Zara and the rich green hue of the dress from Khaite.

Shop my edit below and feel warm and put together in any situation.
