5 years later…
Some of you might not know, but this blog is almost 7 years old. Just like with any website I have worked for, there are always posts that seem to climb into the top 10 of Google Analytics no matter how many months have gone by. My lemon print Dolce & Gabbana outfit post is one of them.
Posted five years ago, the two-piece has become a firm favourite on my website. I don’t know if it’s the bright colour, the fun print or that people love to Google lemons, but it’s one of the most joyful outfits that I step into during the hotter months.
I’m sure this look is still knocking around second-hand websites and there have been several interpretations since, but I have found a new-in alternative that offers a chic take on this happy print.
Oscar de la Renta was inspired by the Sicilian summer for the range of lemon printed dresses that come in a mini, knee-length and maxi silhouettes. The dresses from the Resort 21 collection have a youthful yet classic personality and I can already imagine them cropping up at garden soirees and weddings (once we’re allowed to have those).
I see them as the older sisters to my Dolce & Gabbana outfit and as ideal additions to any summer wardrobe. What do you think?
