Classic, timeless and versatile, what more could you want from a winter coat?
Hey everyone! How are you? It’s been busy press week for us getting the December issue of Town & Country finished (another title that the Harpers Bazaar team look after) but its amazing so make sure to check it out on the 17th of November! It’s also the start of press days which is when you visit brands PR team and have a closer look at next seasons collections, which I actually prefer as you can take your time and really explore every piece. Plus it’s a great shopping prep!
And speaking of shopping, I have been browsing the great wide web for a new winter coat. I’m thinking something long, mannish and possibly navy, any suggestions? While I’m on a hunt for that, my close friend is looking for an elegant camel coat and that reminded me how great a classic soft beige or deep caramel outwear is. A coat that never goes out of style, flattering and versatile is exactly what everyone needs in their wardrobe.
Earlier last year I finally found the perfect one for me and it was the lovely Prada coat you see above. Not only is it a great alternative to my winter blacks but it also provides a great, muted option for shoulder robing during spring. This shorter style works well with more casual outfits as well as a wool mini dresses, just turn up the collar when the colder winds hit. Check out Max Mara and Banana Republic for great options and if you want to splurge you have to go for this stunning Rochas number.
When the temperatures drop I turn to my longer dressing gown style that I normally wear undone for a relaxed silhouette that frames any outfit underneath. And when the winter chill is strong. the slight oversized shape is perfect for wrapping around for comfort, see Topshop and Karen Millen for a similar vibe.
How would you style a camel coat this winter, let me know what you think in the comment box below! xxx
