It’s been a while but I finally managed to shoot some new looks for the blog! This time of year is so busy with work and social events, we literally had to squeeze in a shoot on my lunch break last week but I think we did well to get 3 outfits done. I’m really looking forward to a Christmas break as it will give me some time to re design my blog, work on more varied content and of course celebrate with friends and family.

This is one of the looks we shot last week near Carnaby Street that has been decorated so beautifully. I took my inspiration from Gucci AW15 show, which I have to admit I really didn’t get at first, but after studying the collection I finally get why everyone is so obsessed! Its pretty easy to be a Gucci girl as you probably have all the key pieces in your wardrobe such as a pleated skirt, cosy knit, strappy cami top and even possibly a beret! My mum bought me this Armani beret about 4 years ago (similar at Gucci) and this is the first time I wore it because Michele made it a must have accessory for winter and showed a modern way to style it.

His vintage luxe girls marched down the catwalk in pretty bows, ruffles and wide rimmed glasses and that youthful vibe which is so appealing and is what I tried to portray in this outfit. What you may not know is despite the fancy labels, almost everything I’m wearing is over 5 years old (apart from the jeans) and is just proof of how something old can be reimagined into something new. The chunky knit cardigan paired with a classic white shirt can be ideal for work when matched with tailored trousers, or opt for heels and a pleated skirt (do like Gucci and make it metallic from Topshop) for a cosy party look. Flared jeans give it more of a casual vibe and if like me you’re loving the preppy geek trend then brogues should be your footwear of choice, I’m loving platform style from Office.

What do you think of my take on the Gucci girl? Looking forward to reading your comments below xxx
