Home Comforts

On a cold day like today nothing makes me happier than cosying up at home with a cup of a tea…

I thought it’s about time to share a little piece of my home with you after a long and tedious refurb. Our aim was to modernise the space and maximise the natural light coming into the lounge and I’m so pleased with how it turned out, especially with this super comfy sofa!

Now to my look… You may have noticed from my previous posts and Instagram updates that I’ve developed a minor obsession with roll necks, buying about 6 of them this winter! I just love how wrapped up and warm they make you feel and this Zara knit was a great sale find, but I also like the look of Boden‘s jumper and adore this Mini Cream wool dress. After taking inspiration from Celine SS15 show, I wanted to add texture in the same tone and decided to go for this Asos feather trim skirt. I think the whole look is so cute and pretty and if you want to add some feathers to your wardrobe check out this dress from boohoo.com and this skirt by Milly.

Obviously I don’t need shoes for lounging around (although chunky socks won’t go amiss on this frosty day) but you can easily dress it down with a pair of sneakers like these by Isabel Marant and Nike or add a pair of heels for a round of cocktails from Dune or Topshop. Coat wise, I would keep it neutral with either my Prada camel coat (similar at Max Mara Studio) or Celine cocoon coat but you can also add a print with this plaid number from Topshop.

Finally, I had to include this awesome mug! One of my favourite Christmas presents from my husband who supports my biscuit addiction, digestives and custard creams are my faves! And for tea? It has to be a Yorkshire with lots of milk or a really hot green tea.

What’s your favourite tea and biscuits?
