Hey everyone! How is your week going? It’s been a busy one for me as we have been shooting a big feature for our magazine all about celebrating incredible women in the region. It’s truly amazing to meet these inspiring women from different backgrounds with their varied achievements, it inspires you to keep going in your endeavours which I really needed this week. I will go into more detail in an upcoming post next week, but basically the engagement on my social media has dropped and I was so worried that I was shadowbanned but it might just be the current problem with Instagram algorithm. If you have seen my stories, you know that number of likes/comments/ views isn’t what drives me to keep creating content, but it can be deflating when what your passionate about isn’t connecting with your audience. Yet I love doing this, despite being exhausted from work and yappy puppy who wakes me up at 6am, I love the people I’ve met and the experiences I got to enjoy so let’s keep going and supporting one another!

Now onto skin serums. This essential step in your beauty routine was only highlighted to me a couple of years ago. I see them as a boost, as a catalyst to get all the ingredients in your skincare products working effectively. The key is to pick the right one for you and in my case it was all about extra moisture which the Sarah Chapman Intense Hydrating Booster delivers and then some. It literally soaks into my skin resulting in a smooth dewy finish which is hard to achieve in Dubai summers. I use it every morning while the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is my go to after a late night or post travel as the complexion looks dull and exhausted. My friends and work colleague can’t praise the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair which is designed to smooth our fine lines and reduce appearance of wrinkles. As I’m still in my 20’s, I don’t need to use heavily in my routine so once a week I use it at night as a prevention.

I have put together a selection of other serums that have passed through our beauty desk and now I’m off to celebrate my birthday in the snow while it 40oC outside! Follow on Instastories for more…

  1. I totally understand where you’re coming from babe. It’s so upsetting to see the numbers dropping and I feel exactly where you’re coming from.

I love these serums that you’ve picked out – all sound amazing!
