My Favourite ‘Old Céline’ Pieces By Phoebe Philo

Not leaving the Philophile sisterhood…

At Paris Fashion Week SS19 season, Hedi Slimane presenting his vision for Celine and it made Phoebe Philo fans very unhappy.

Not only did it remind them of his style at Saint Laurent, but it reflected nothing of the empowering and elegantly cool style of the brand that we have got so used to wearing or interpreting from the high-street.

To not diss Slimane completely, he did send out so beautiful tailoring, but will you see a modern woman out and about in glittering green mini dress with 80’s frilly shoulders? Doubt it. Either way, he has a strong fan base and his expertise in menswear will do brilliantly for the brand, however I’m still hanging onto the Philo effect and I hope to see it again in the near future.

Till then, I take a look back at some of my favourite Céline (ye, I’m keeping the accent) purchases that will stay in my wardrobe for a long long time.
