There is 70’s trend you can adopt all year round…
Hey everyone! How was your weekend? I had such a relaxing time at Espa Life at Corithia, I swear they create the most luxurious relaxation spaces and it was a perfect getaway from the torrential downpour we had. But it looks like the summer is back on track in London and with that more legs out opportunities!
The button front skirt was one of my top picks from this seasons much loved 70’s trend. Be it a mini or long, there is something so playful about the added brass detail that were seen at Chloe and Louis Vuitton as well as in Alexa Chung’s collection for AG Jeans. I loved Chloe’s longer cut with slouchy sweatshirts (similar at Wrap) or a tucked in shirt while Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquière opted for flirty min’s paired with lace tops, both showing great versatility to this simple piece.
I was amazed at how well made this Zara skirt is (similar from Whistles, ASOS and Steve J). The hem lines are sculpted well, the exposed button are not overwhelming leaving a nice split on the bottom. I also love the flared silhouette giving it a ladylike hint and faded denim is an ideal tone for the summer. I wore it previously with a leather jacket and logo T-shirt but this time round I really wanted to dress it up with this gorgeous Chanel jacket (one of the best birthday presents ever!) and my most worn Prada shoes. I can’t help it, they just go with everything and the block heel is so comfortable!
I’m really pleased that the 70’s vibe will continue into fall and I’m planning to wear this skirt with a chunky roll neck, fedora and some ankle boots. And when the winter sets in I’ll throw on my fave camel coat or this oversized shearling jacket.
Easy going and stylish, there is a button front skirt for every mood. How would you wear yours? x
