Hey guys and how is your week going so far? It’s already been a busy one with work as we get 3 magazines ready to send to print at the end of the month. I’ve also been struggling to get back into my fitness routine which adds to the whole sluggish annoying feeling that you have when you sit on your bum all day in front of a computer. Do you guys get frustrated when you do 0 exercise?

On a much more positive note, new season is slowly making it’s way to stores and online and its getting me all excited for February! Today I’m looking at a new take fashions favourite print – stripes. If you’re not a fan of this evergreen print, then I’m sorry but we can’t be friends anymore. However, if like me you’re a little bit obsessed to the point where you consider stripes a ‘neutral’ then read on!

This linear approach to dressing never faded and has been remolded countless times each season – you can check out many way of styling stripes here. From vertical to horizontal, from wide to skinny, form brights to pastels, this print has changed more personalities than I have in my teenage years (yes I went through a goth stage which involved way too much eyeliner!) This spring chunky stripes in primary tones is your alternative to colour blocking so be inspired by Proenza Schouler and Rosie Assoulin and think bold thick lines in various colors.

This Stella McCartney blouse is a few seasons old but I love the silky soft fabric and the contrasting front and back. I styled it with wide leg cropped jeans, which needed to be balanced out with some height in a form of Oscar De La Renta heels and I also added a small bag from Salvatore Ferragamo.

Want to get in line? Shop my favourite striped tops here…

  1. I am just obsessed with this outfit. Not only am I a MASSIVE fan of stripes, but I am also a massive fan of colour so putting them together is just beautiful!

I know what you mean – I get so frustrated when I don’t get to exercise, but I’m sure you’ll be back on track!
