This is my favourite look from the Acne aw 2014 show (look 23 to be precise) and I love how it was styled with a crisp white shirt and chunky shoes. Feeling inspired I went for the same combination here, but you can also wear it with a roll neck (from Topshop for e.g) and add high heel boots (these J.Crew ones will work).
When I was putting the pieces together at home something about the ‘Gea’ thick scarf, which you can clip low around the shoulders or casually drape it on one side, and thick wool skirt that reminded me of Russia. You may not see it but when I started adding accessories and came across my Tak.Ori hat, it started to look like something from an old Russian movie about the bourgeoisie! This double layer 100% wool scarf will definitely keep me warm and bring a pop of colour to my winter wardrobe.
The swirls that decorate Acne ‘Kier’ tweed mint green skirt are inspired by the movement of water and has been cleverly tailored. It is a weighty piece but thanks to the split and a voluminous back hem it has enough movement to stop it looking stiff.
Acne ‘Gea’ scarf, Acne Kier skirt, Dolce & Gabbana shirt (similar from H&M and Zara) and brooch (similar from Accessorize and Debenhams), Stella McCartney shoes (good options from here and Asos) and Tak.Ori Piccolo hat (I love the leopard print version at Matches).
